Richard established CRDF in 2010 after being involved with considerable humanitarian aid and relief in the aftermath of the massive Sichuan earthquake in May 2008. In 2005 he founded Hua Mei International Education and Training, which was at the "sharp end" of providing aid to rural areas after the 2008 'quake. HMI now operates alongside CRDF as a sister organisation.

Advisory Head of Sales & Marketing UK: Andy Rice
Andy has strong track record in marketing, media and sponsorship. Previously Sales and Marketing Director of Future PLC's Sport Division and Director (Commercial) at Press Association Sport, where he was responsible for marketing international sports content. Andy was a long-term trustee of charity Rainbow Farm, supporting abused and abandoned street children in Brazil, and in 2006 took a 6 month sabbatical to raise funds and build an adventure sports centre in Minas Gerais.

Switzerland - Director, Global Focus: Martin Voegelin
Martin has a history leading succesfull European charity sector organisations, and has been working with CRDF for over five years in an advisory capacity. He has supervised and led human resources training programmes and through Swiss funding established a series of adult literacy programmes and leadership development projects. He is a member of the International Advisory Committee of CRDF.

China is a wonderfully diverse country with a long heritage. Although there is now considerable wealth in the mega-cities that have developed in the last 20 to 30 years, there are vast rural areas largely unchanged, where family incomes are very low.
CRDF works in these areas, primarily but not exclusively in Sichuan Province.
